IZT C7000 supports Radiated Two-stage Method (RTS) for Over the Air MIMO testing

IZT has developed a test platform for Mobile Communication Systems as part of the “Facility for Over the Air Research and Testing” (FORTE) test facility, that is now used as an implemented part of Mercedes-Benz test area.

Antenna and communication systems of large test objects such as vehicles can be tested with a much lower number of input and output channels due to the Wireless Cable approach. In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, the largest European research organization for application-oriented research, IZT has developed a test platform for Mobile Communication Systems as part of the “Facility for Over the Air Research and Testing” (FORTE) test facility. The IZT C7000 emulator provides the necessary resources for wide-band compensation of the chamber characteristics and an arbitrary channel model.

Recently, the IZT C7000 became an implemented part of Mercedes-Benz test area and permits the integration of all kinds of possible interferences by comparison with conventional tethered test solutions. The test building at the Mercedes-Benz Technology Center (MTC) is one of the most modern in the automotive industry. It allows to perform new measuring and testing methods in order to ensure that the vehicles are comprehensively secured.

You can find further information about the Mercedes-Benz test area here.
