IZT R200

Digital VSAT Receiver

The IZT R200 is a digital satellite receiver that allows extracting selectable payload from a DVB-S VSAT signal. All digital signal processing is performed in state-of-the-art FPGA, allowing for adaption to customer requirements (e.g. DVB-S2 support). A robust product in a space-saving 19 inch slide-in, 1 RU design.

Unique Features

  • Robust pre-selector filter for environments with strong interferers
  • Flexible FPGA based architecture allows for adaptation to customer requirements (e.g. DVB-S2 support) without hardware modifications
  • Long product life cycle compatible with industrial applications

Options

  • Additional V.11 output supporting bit rates from 64 kbps up to 10 Mbps
  • Automated redundancy switching of two linked units
  • Extraction of two different signals from the MPEG stream to feed the two ETI outputs independently
  • SNMP
Based on IZT’s industrial grade wide-band tuner module, the IZT R200 satellite receiver demodulates a DVB-S VSAT signal and extracts portions of the MPEG-2 transport stream. The payload data is converted to a continuous serial data stream and output at one or two G.703 compliant outputs, e.g. as an ETI ensemble signal. The IZT R200 is completely made of standard components and does not depend on devices with product life cycles incompatible to broadcast applications, like for example commercial DVB-S receiver modules. This way, a reliable design with a long product life cycle can be achieved.
Furthermore, all digital signal processing is performed in state-of-the-art FPGA, giving flexibility to incorporate specialized customer requirements without the need for hardware modifications.
