Key component for Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB+) infrastructure

The IZT DAB Content Server is a system for encoding and multiplexing audio inputs, supplementary information and service data into a common data stream for Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB+).

This technology enables service providers to profit from:

• Scalable internal DAB/DAB+ audio encoding (no extra hardware encoders required)
• Integration of externally pre-processed sub-multiplex data streams
• Sophisticated redundancy processing (interfacing to a single virtual system)
• Extensive real-time data service / interfacing support
• Complete support of state-of-the-art IP-based EDI input and output interfaces

The system is based on the Fraunhofer FhG-IIS solution
"DAB ContentServer™ R5".
