Digital radio offers exceptional sound quality and a range of exciting features to enhance the listening experience. The digital radio broadcasting system DAB and its extensions DAB+ and DMB support a multiplex of services known as an ensemble, which can be adapted to suit various service needs based on the type of content being broadcast.
The IZT DAB Content Server processes your program signals into a central data stream, thereby creating the fundamental technological component of the new DAB digital radio network infrastructure. IZT’s innovative ensemble multiplex is based on widely available standard server hardware and on the proven software system from the renowned Fraunhofer Institute IIS. The system enables multi-stream real-time audio encoding and broadcasting of all standardized and proprietary DAB data applications and signalling options. The compact DAB-all-in-one-solution offers all the necessary interfaces for smooth integration into the broadcast chain.

Benefits for local broadcasters and international network providers

The IZT DAB Content Server is a pure software solution based on IP interfaces and standard hardware. As such, it enables fully remote controlled administration and monitoring. Integrating the IZT DAB Content Server into an existing infrastructure is very easy to do, as is the addition and expansion of its functions. Integrated audio coding brings the benefits of lower hardware costs, fast, easy and cost-efficient maintenance and a significantly lower risk of failure. IZT’s innovative multiplexer provides a flexible selection of coding methods, such as  DAB+, DAB Classic, DAB Surround or DMB-Radio and enables the connection of external encoders – also at other locations.
